France native turns infatuation with Islands into fish pillows

It was the Ocean that drew Claire Garrigue from France to Maui , and it is the Ocean that enables her to stay .
Claire , born in Biarritz and raised in a family of artists , was on a trip with her daughter when they arrived to Maui .
They knew immediately this was where they wanted to live .
Surfing everyday , Claire became intrigued and inspired by the native fish off Maui’s shores , their amazing shapes and colors . She began sketching them and soon was painting them on canvas . Wanting the fish to take shape and become something usefull , she sewed them into one-of-a-kind beautiful pillows , for you to enjoy !
